Taiwanese opera is the only type of traditional drama genuinely native to the island of Taiwan. Thanks to its origin, it was greatly influenced by Chinese opera and folk songs from the southern part of China. In this collection, some famous tunes of Taiwanese opera have been selected. Under the melodious denotation of Chinese stringed instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, and yueqin, the Taiwanese opera is recreated in a new tender spirit.
