Paul Mauriat (Marseille, 4 March 1925 – 3 November 2006 in Perpignan) was a French orchestra leader, specializing in light music. He is best known in the United States for his million selling remake of André Popp’s “Love is Blue”, which was #1 for 5 weeks in 1968. Other recordings for which he is known include El Bimbo, “Toccata” and “Penelope.” Paul Mauriat died on November 3, 2006 at the age of 81.

Paul Mauriat (4 tháng 3, 1925 – 3 tháng 11, 2006) là một nhạc trưởng người Pháp. Ông sinh tại Marseille, lớn lên ở thủ đô Paris và bắt đầu chỉ huy dàn nhạc của riêng ông trong thời gian Chiến tranh thế giới lần thứ 2. Trong thập kỷ 1950, ông làm việc và đi lưu diễn với ít nhất hai ca sỹ nổi tiếng người Pháp là Charles Aznavour và Maurice Chevalier.

Người ta biết đến ông nhiều nhất sau khi bản phối khí L’Amour est bleu (“Love Is Blue”) (do André Popp soạn) của ông năm 1968 đứng đầu bảng xếp hạng của Hoa Kỳ. Paul Mauriat cùng dàn nhạc của ông rất được yêu thích ở Nhật Bản và Hàn Quốc.
